Company overview
Xymphonic Systems was spun off from the Norwegian
telecom corporation Telenor in 1998. The technology is based on almost 10 years
of research conducted by the Founder and CEO, Ole J. Anfindsen (PhD).
We aim at providing software vendors competitive edge
and increased profits by adding collaborative features to their existing
products, thus enabling them to give end-users substantial time and cost
reduction.
We are in business to make it easier and more natural for people to collaborate
when using computer systems. Our vision is that the xymphonic model becomes the
universally preferred way of doing mission-critical collaborative work.
Xymphonic Systems will provide the IT market something never available before:
Products and technology that enable users to collaborate concurrently in a
simple, natural and powerful way on shared data resources (e.g. documents and
design objects).
This will be offered to:
. End-users involved in collaborative work, and to
. Application vendors supplying collaborative software to the market.
Millions and millions of people in businesses and public sectors around the
world have nothing but primitive work-around solutions such as simple file
sharing, conventional "check-out-check-in" or "versioning" to help them
collaborate. Our technology, however, will allow teams of users to work on and
share the same data simultaneously. This opens up tremendous possibilities for
improving end-user applications. Our technology makes possible
concurrent data manipulation of all kinds of data objects in numerous software
systems in various application domains.
